Architect Chen Rongqin was seconded from Tsinghua University to work in the Planning and Construction Department of the Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee.
"In the early stage of planning, I thought my job was to design venues, but later I found out that most of them were comprehensive affairs. I settled down to adapt, and at the same time gave full play to my professional advantages as an architect." Chen Rongqin said: "Later, I turned to venue outline preparation and venue operation. The docking work of design is also a completely unfamiliar field.”
After training and learning, while practicing and exploring, Chen Rongqin came to the Yunding Ski Park venue team in the Zhangjiakou competition area as the deputy manager of the facility. Chen Rongqin said: "In the preparation stage before the competition, the planning scheme of the temporary pipeline route was rejected by the relevant parties.
